Glossary
Marketing terms, defined
A short reference for the words that come up when you're briefing or reviewing work with Mapo Media.
- Brief
- The short set of inputs you provide before production starts: audience, goal, topic or keywords, references, and any constraints.
- Content calendar
- A schedule of what will be published and when. For social services, Mapo Media produces to an approved calendar.
- CTA
- Call to action — the single step a piece of content asks the reader to take.
- Deliverable
- The finished asset a project produces: an article, a graphic, a video, a page, and so on.
- Landing page
- A standalone page built around one goal, such as generating leads or bookings, with nothing competing for attention.
- One-time vs monthly
- A one-time service is a single project and charge. A monthly service opens a new request each month and can be cancelled anytime.
- Order
- The set of services and quantities you assemble in the builder before checkout. Each unit becomes a separate project.
- Productized service
- A service sold with a fixed scope, fixed price, and a repeatable workflow — closer to buying a product than commissioning custom work.
- Revision round
- One cycle of client feedback and updates on a deliverable. Mapo Media projects include two; the prior version is always kept.
- SEO
- Search engine optimization — structuring content so it can rank in organic search for terms your customers use.
- Social set
- One post adapted once for each connected channel, counted as a single unit.
- Turnaround
- The typical number of business days from a completed brief to a first deliverable ready for review.
- UGC
- User-generated content — creator-filmed video styled to look native to a social feed rather than a polished ad.
- Workflow
- The ordered set of stages a service runs every time — for an SEO blog: keywords, writing, images, publish, review.
